Each 60 minute class offers a mix of both

Power Yoga: Dynamic conditioning postures to strengthen the body and increase mental stamina and focus. Emphasis on alignment and breath.

Restorative Yoga: A "therapeutic yoga" approach to enhance fascia, flexibility and regulate stress. Long supported stretches for full body and mind rejuvenation.

Hi! I'm Heidi. When I began yoga - I had two modes: 1,000 miles per hour or asleep.
Yoga is a great gift to give yourself to help
to release stress from your mind and body, regulate your nervous system and to breathe deeply.

I design classes to keep my mind, body and energy optimal for an active, adventurous lifestyle: strength, opening, awareness, balance, stamina and rejuvenation.

I bring inspiration from books, nature and the cosmos to bring awareness to the spirit, mind and body.

  • Beginners and all levels welcome.
  • Please book class online.
  • Blocks and props are encouraged for class. You can use with rolled up towels or blankets. 
  • A mat, pillows, blankets & cosy socks are encouraged.
  • If you have a body and you breathe and an open mind, this class is for you.

Yoga is a system for living life. As a practice of breathing with movement; yoga can allow for greater understanding of yourself, increased stamina, more peace in your mind and greater tenacity in the face of adversity. (Increased Pain Tolerance in Yoga Practitioners)

After a snowboarding accident on Whistler Mountain, Canada, in 2010, it wasn't until I started attending Jivamukti Yoga that I realised I had PTSD - not only did I resolve the PTSD through Yoga, I began to deepen my understanding and reverence for the mind, body and spirit connection.


Want to hear the best part? The woman who rescued me from this accident in Whistler Ski Patrol, ended up being my yoga teacher, completely coincidently, 5 years later. My rescuer and yoga teacher, Pashumati is also whom I studied with in her 200hr Shantiseva Yoga Teacher Training. Pashumati is one of the rarerest gems on earth. To all my relations, Aho!

"Awake in the Wild” is the signature 200 hour Shantiseva Yoga & Lifestyle integrated Teacher Training program with Tina Pashumati James. This is an 8 step Mental, Physical, Emotional & Spiritual Health program to include yogic study, vigorous vinyasa as well as restorative yoga, scared ceremony and the four directions.

It would be a pleasure and an honour to guide with breathing and movement that can assist you to reconnect with the power within you and sharpen your own tools for living a great life.
