Did You See the Full Moon? 🌕
If you caught glimpses of the moon growing fuller each night, you know how breathtaking it can be. I recently had the honor (and trepidation!) of a midnight swim under the full moon in a little fishing village in Sweden.
Why trepidation? Because for years, I was afraid of the dark.
But I’ve been working steadily to overcome this fear, and that night, I took a deep breath and dove into the freezing, moonlit darkness. I didn’t tell anyone how monumental that moment was for me—but it was a huge step in confronting and releasing a recurring fear.
Why Do Full Moons Stir Up Our Fears? 🌕
Full moons have a way of bringing darkness to light. They illuminate the things we’d rather avoid—hidden fears, painful thoughts, or unresolved emotions. This process can feel uncomfortable or even frightening.
But here’s the paradox:
The quickest way to let go of these feelings is to move through them.
When you embrace the feeling, you allow it to pass. You release its grip on your mind, heart, and body. And while this can be challenging to do alone, the Natural Alchemy method can help. This approach offers a safe space for exploring and healing those dark, hidden corners of your psyche.
Why Can’t We Just “Let Go” of Fear? 🤔
Letting go isn’t always easy. Questions like these might spin in your mind:
- “How can I let go when I’m still hurting?”
- “Am I supposed to just forget everything?”
- “Will I be a doormat if I let this go?”
Instead of trying to force yourself to let go, try shifting to a mindset of willingness.
Why Willingness Matters ⚡
Every negative habit or thought you experience exists because, on some level, your brain believes it’s protecting you. Over time, this fear or pain becomes a habitual response. Your brain has logged it as important information, even if it no longer serves you.
Your brain isn’t wrong—it’s just trying to keep you safe. But now it’s time to rewrite those neural pathways and create new patterns.
Affirmations to Release Recurring Fear 📝
Choose one of the following statements and repeat it daily:
- I am willing to release the need to feel (this way about my partner).
- I am willing to release the need to feel (the need to control this situation).
- I am willing to release the need to feel (broke).
- I am willing to release the need to feel (ugly).
- I am willing to release the need to feel (rejected).
- I am willing to release the need to feel (anxious about my finances).
